Marianne Brandt was a painter, sculptor and industrial designer. At the end of his career he also devoted himself to photography.

At 30 years old, she enrolled in the Bauhaus in Weimar. She faced some problems that prevented her from entering the metall workshop from the first moment, but little showed the qualities that this woman had to represent objects of daily use, so the following year she was allowed to be part of the workshop of Metal, thus becoming the first woman to enter the Metal Workshop of the Bauhaus.

On the way, his companions always left him the most cumbersome jobs; little by little, everyone's respect was won, because of the special way he had to represent the products, which also followed the trends that predominated in the Bauhaus. Marianne Brandt stood out for producing with luxurious materials such as silver, ebony and crystal.
Brandt established a technique, where his designs of practical metal objects formed an important part. Many of these designs, including lamps, ashtrays and other household objects, continue to be reproduced today.
When she finished the course, she assumed the position of vice-rector of metallurgy at the Bauhaus.
She is a woman who imposed her point of view and left behind criticism to devote herself to what she truly loved, no matter what others said. It is an example of a woman.
